The Rich Young Man saw Jesus as the ticket to more treasure. But what he missed and what Scripture tells us over and over and over again is that Jesus isn’t the ticket to more treasure—Jesus is the treasure. And once you find this treasure—you will joyfully sell everything you used to think was treasure to go buy this real treasure—the good news that Jesus came to rescue sinners like you and me. Jesus is the treasure.
